Mary obtained her Master’s of Science Degree in Occupational Therapy from Virginia Commonwealth University/Medical College of Virginia. She has worked in a variety of settings to include in-patient hospital and out-patient private clinics. She joined the staff of Building Bridges in March 2013 after about 15 years of previous experience in pediatric OT. Mary has continued to improve her clinical skills by attending courses related to sensory-related feeding, sensory processing and integration, certification in the interactive metronome program, the pediatric brain and functional neuroanatomy, primitive reflexes integration through neuroplasticity, development of hand skills in infants, and assessments and interventions for praxis courses. Outside of work Mary enjoys gardening, hiking, traveling, and photography.
