Sara obtained her Bachelor’s Degree from UNC Chapel Hill and Master’s Degree in the area of Occupational Therapy from Lenoir-Rhyne University. She has worked in pediatric clinics, schools, and a psychiatric residential treatment facility with a variety of diagnoses including autism, sensory processing disorder, motor coordination disorders, developmental delays, ADHD, cerebral palsy, and learning disabilities. She joined the staff of Building Bridges Therapy in 2022. Sara has continued to improve her clinical skills by attending courses related to handwriting, executive functioning, sensory processing, visual perception, motor skills, and primitive reflexes. Outside of work Sara enjoys cooking, reading, and spending time outside with her husband and their chocolate lab, Rosie.
